Kevin Lindberg has been with the American Red Cross since September 2003. Lindberg came to the chapter with 25 years of not-for-profit administration and fund development experience. Originally from Wisconsin, Lindberg has been a resident of Florida since 1983. Like many not-for-profit organizations, the main source of operational funding for the American Red Cross comes from contributions from the community, and their success depends on a high level of community awareness, a consistent utilization of services and the ability to gain public financial support. Throughout his tenure in the not-for-profit sector, Lindberg has worked closely with volunteer boards to lead them through effective strategic planning, which has helped to identify organizational priorities including effective not-for-profit governance, operational fund development, capital campaigns, marketing and public affairs. Under his leadership, the Southwest Florida Chapter of the American Red Cross, which has a mission of helping the community to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies, has realized steady growth in reach and revenue.
