Public health research demonstrates the importance of high-quality CPR and delivering a first defibrillation shock within 4-5 minutes of the moment an individual experiences SCA. Quality of life survival decreases 10% per minute that response is delayed. Brain death occurs in 4-6 minutes. Even the best of EMS response systems can’t be there that quick. CPR and the use of an AED are the key skills to have
